Wirt County Middle School and Wirt County Primary Center both depend on donations from our staff and community for our clothing closets. As you are out shopping and find items on sale, we are very low on bottoms for both boys and girls. We are looking for donations of new bottoms - pants, shorts, sweats, and especially leggings for our girls! If you are so inclined to donate, please send donations to WCMS or WCPC. We will make sure the other school gets the sizes appropriate for them if you send them in with your child! We do ask that the items are new so that we can safely put them in our closet for students to use. As always, we appreciate your help in taking care of our student needs!
With midterms approaching, we want to remind parents that you have access to your student's grades via Schoology. All WCMS students are bringing home letters today with parent access codes. Our annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Ceremony is tomorrow, November 8th. All Veterans are invited to attend. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. at Wirt County High School. A ceremony to honor our Veterans will follow at 9:00 a.m.

6th Grade Parents/Guardians: Ms. Cain is sending a study guide home today with students! Please help your student prepare for the test by completing the study guide for practice. Wirt County Schools is honored to host our annual Veterans Day celebration on Friday, November 8th. Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. and a ceremony will follow at 9:00 a.m. All Veterans are invited to attend.
The WCMS Pumpkin Contest is tomorrow! Parents and guardians are invited to join us and can begin signing in at 1:45 p.m. When you arrive, there will be a sign in table located at the front entrance of WCMS. Parents may sign their students out following the pumpkin drop.
We are gearing up for Fall Fest on Friday! We have 15 stations for students to choose from. One of the stations is Tie Dye. Students are welcome to bring their own materials to tie dye (shirts, socks, pillow cases, etc.) We will also have shirts from the STEM room available to purchase for $3.00. The cost of the shirts will help us replenish supplies for future student events and projects. Shirts will be available Thursday and Friday.
WCMS students can wear their costumes to school tomorrow! However, no face coverings, masks, or weapons are allowed. If students choose to bring a mask with their costume, we will have a short costume parade during the day, and they will be allowed to wear it during that time only.
It is time for parent teacher conferences! Please call the school to schedule an appointment with your child's teachers!
Reminder to visit Sweet Frog this evening to support our WCMS FBLA chapter! 25% of the proceeds will go to this organization. Just mention you are supporting WCMS FBLA!
Join us for The Great Pumpkin Contest on Friday, November 1st at 2:00 p.m. Come watch as advisory classes compete to see whose pumpkin drop container can withstand a fall from the WCMS roof and enjoy a display of creatively decorated pumpkins from the advisory classes. Sign-in for parents begins at 1:45 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
