Dear Parent/Guardian,
The end of the year will be upon us before we know it, which is when field trips and lots of fun activities take place. We are going to use the LiveSchool points system to determine who can go to these events. Every parent has access to their child’s LiveSchool data, if you are unsure how to access it please contact the school.
Starting after Spring Break (April 2) students will only be allowed to have a maximum of 5 negative infractions to attend the events. If a student is given an office referral, they are automatically not allowed to go on trips. If they can’t behave at school, we can’t trust that they can behave on a trip.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ms. Emerson or Ms. Richards at 304-275-4263.
Please do not park in the Wellness Center parking spots when you are visiting the school or picking up your child(ren). The Wellness Center has a limited number of parking spots and needs them for patients or the parents/guardians of patients. Thank you.

3rd & 4th Grade Parents: The WV Department of Education is requiring public schools to give the writing portion of the state mandated testing in March this year. The Primary Center will be testing on March 12. The remainder of the mandated tests will be done from May 7 - May 9, 2024. Students will be bringing Calhoun Banks' coloring contest papers home today. They need to be back to school by March 22, 2024 in order to participate in the contest.
Wirt County Primary Center is participating in the WV School Learning Environment Survey. Parents are asked to complete an online survey about school climate—the learning and teaching/working conditions—to help guide school improvement efforts. The results of this survey, the student survey, and the school staff survey will be used to make changes in your child's school to ensure a supportive environment for teaching and learning. The survey may be completed from any computer with an internet connection.
When you log onto the survey, you will see explanatory information about the survey and important information regarding your rights as a survey participant:
Only one adult in a child's household needs to complete the survey for the school even though there may be multiple children from the house attending the school. Your participation is voluntary. You may choose not to participate; not to answer any questions you do not want to answer; and you may stop participating at any time during the survey without penalty. Your responses will be anonymous and confidential.
A Parent Login Code will be necessary to identify the school . The code that all parents participating will need is listed below as well as the link to the survey. You can also access the Parent Survey using the QR code with this message.
Parent login code: P094201
Link to Parent Survey: https://forms.office.com/r/UAgRBeNBde
Thank you in advance for your participation! We hope that by going through this survey process we can make Wirt County Primary Center an even BETTER place to learn!
