WV School Learning Environment Survey:
3rd & 4th grade parents were introduced to this survey during Christmas parties in December and those who did not attend were sent a permission form home to fill out if they did not want their children to do the survey. We made a list of students who are NOT to take the survey. The survey is anonymous and will only be done with 3rd and 4th grade students who have permission to take the survey. Wirt County Schools is excited to announce that we have an exciting reading service available through Sora, the student reading app, which provides free 24/7 access to ebooks and audiobooks. What better way to engage your student’s mind than through reading?
How does it work?
Sora provides the quickest and easiest way to get started with digital titles from our school. Students can simply log in using school Google credentials (BOE email, which their teacher can provide for you, if they don't know it) and instantly access thousands of ebooks and audiobooks on virtually any device. Get started today at https://soraapp.com or download the free Sora app for Android or iOS.
Once Sora is downloaded and Wirt County Schools is selected, connect to West Virginia Reads Library without a library card (in Sora menu, select +Add a Library, type in West Virginia Reads, enter your Sora log in credentials, borrow, and enjoy).
Download Sora to all of your devices! Enjoy books!

2023-2024 WCPC PK Screening Information
Who: Children who will be 4 prior to or on July 1, 2023 and would like to attend PreK at Wirt County Primary Center for the 2023-2024 school year.
What: An opportunity to participate in screening activities to register children for the upcoming PK school year.
When: Friday 2/10/23, 8:30-2:30
Friday 2/24/23, 8:30-2:30
How Do I Sign Up: Call 304-275-4263 and ask for Miss Sarah to schedule a time. A registration packet will be mailed to you for completion. Bring completed packet and listed documentation to your screening appointment. (needed documentation list is attached to the registration packet.)
Additional Notes: Registered children and parent/guardians will enter the building through the side door/PK entrance where they will be directed to the classroom they are assigned for screening. For additional questions/information, please call the primary center. 304-275-4263.

The Christmas Reading Gala is TONIGHT from 5pm to 7pm at Wirt County Primary Center! Please join Mr. and Mrs. Claus for a festive evening of reading, crafting, coloring, cookie decorating, and so much more! Families can take photos with the Clauses and Spiderman! We look forward to seeing you!
Due to a shortage of bus drivers, students who ride bus 42 will be leaving the school today, Wed 12/14/22, at 2pm.
This is one hour and 20 min earlier than usual. Please call the school with questions or concerns.
