This evening, WCHS FBLA will be hosting its annual fashion show in the auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:00 p.m. Over 130 dresses will be available for purchase. This event is open to the public and admission is free. We hope to see you there!

WCHS students in Mrs. Petrovsky's 11th grade English classes enjoyed exploring virtual realities that were similar to settings of books they've been reading this year. Students explored the artic scenery and wildlife from the comfort of their warm classroom. They also drew inspiration from the experience for their upcoming Tall Tales assignment. Students enjoyed exploring with the brand new ClassVR goggles!




Wirt County High School FBLA is hosting it's annual Formal Wear Fashion Show with the theme, "Spring in Paris". The event will be on Friday, Feb. 17th in the WCHS auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Wirt County Schools and Wirt County High School offices will be closed Friday, December 23, 2022, due to impending inclement weather.

Tomorrow is the final day for our canned food drive! Make sure to bring in cans to block your classroom door so you can enjoy the hot chocolate bar, movie, and gym time in the morning. We will wrap up the day with our LiveSchool reward 6th-9th period. 241 students have qualified! It's also PJ day tomorrow!



Our Holiday Spirit Week kicked off with a band concert and stuffing stockings for the nursing home! Thank you to Metanu for donating $250 to our stocking stuffer drive. Student Council members used the donation to purchase stocking stuffers last week.

Wrestling:
On 12/17 the Tiger Wrestling team travelled to Point Pleasant and participated in the Jason Eades Duals. The short handed Tigers finished in 14th Place.
Boys Basketball:
12/13- The Tiger's travelled to Wood County Christian winning 61-15
12/16- The Tiger's defeated Parkersburg Catholic at home by a score of 76-25.
- Braylan Dawson scoring 19, Connor Hoover 18, & Aiden Cheuvront 15.
JV Won 79-31 with Tyler Smith scoring 20 pts and Alex Bevel scoring 16
