Want to join WCHS Local School Improvement Council (LSIC)? Please come to the planning meeting on Friday, September 30 at WCHS in Room 500 from 11:15 to 12:00 Noon. Let Mrs. Smith know, lunch will be provided.
Today is West Virginia Service Personnel Day, a statewide celebration to honor and thank the countless people who provide invaluable support services for the state’s 55 county school systems. Be sure to thank your bus drivers, secretaries, technicians, cooks, custodians, aides, maintenance, and all school service employees for all they do! Our school system would not function without them!
In spring 2022, current 9th grade students took the West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA) and current 12th students grade took the SAT School Day. Both assessments measure academic progress for students and schools in West Virginia. A link to your student's individual score report was sent to your student's Gmail account today, September 19th. Please work with your student to access the link in the email. Once you click on the link, you will be taken to a site where you will need to enter your student’s date of birth to access the video report.
An example of the video report along with more information is available online at https://wirtcountywv.sites.thrillshare.com/o/wchs/article/843741
Congratulations to Chase Lowe on breaking the school record for Touchdowns in a game. A record that he had shared earlier this season.
