This is a reminder that all students in grades 9 and 10 will be competing Benchmark 2 and students in grades 11 will be taking the SAT School Day Test on Wednesday, April 12 beginning at 8:00 am.
12th grade students will be participating in the Reality Checks program sponsored by Calhoun Banks in the gymnasium.
Senior Parents! Please be advised that last week seniors brought home important information regarding graduation. This included important dates, a graduation contract which must be returned by May 12th to walk, a senior cap decoration template due May 5th, and information on their senior trip (due with $10 by April 14). 2023 PROM TICKETS:
Prom tickets will be available for purchase beginning Thursday, 4/6! They will be sold from 7:30-8 each morning and during second lunch from 4/6 through 4/14. In order to attend prom, you must have a ticket (whether you or your date purchase it).
If you are bringing a graduate of WCHS or someone who does not attend WCHS, you will need to submit a 'Wirt County High School Dance Guest Approval Form.' These forms are available in the office. A completed form must be submitted for approval prior to prom.

Great News! 3rd 9 Weeks Report Cards were sent home today with students along with information regarding a parent survey to gather information about the learning and teaching environment, the health and wellbeing of students, and supports for parents, school staff, and students. It is important to get parent input to help improve our school. Please ask your student for the information!
Next week is YLA week. YLA is collecting items to donate to YOC (Kids YLA Camp). There are prizes for DGs who bring in the most items. Each day will also be a theme, so bring your donations and participate in the dress-up days! Please see the flyer for more information!
Student Spotlight! Dale Cunningham designed and built an egg holder for an incubator in Carpentry Class. This cool student-led project will allow Dale to hatch out his own chickens at home!
WCHS is partnering with Calhoun Banks to provide a Financial Literacy simulation on Wednesday, April 12 from 8:30 am - 11:30 am. Volunteers will help run stations that seniors will work through during the simulation. If interested, please let Mrs. Smith know!

REGIONAL BASKETBALL TICKET INFORMATION:
Wirt County Boys Basketball will travel to Charleston to take on Charleston Catholic on Tuesday, March 7th at 7:00 PM with a trip to the State Basketball Championship on the line.
The WVSSAC is requiring electronic ticketing at High School Regional playoff events via GoFan.
