The past few weeks have been busy for Tiger Athletics.
Wrestling:
On Tuesday December 6th our Wrestlers hosted and knocked off 3 of the top ranked teams in Single A.

- Wirt 53 (#10) Williamstown 21
On Saturday December 10th, Our Wrestlers also competed at the Rick Link Duals at Union Local High School (Ohio) The team placed 9th out of 25 teams.

12/6- The Tigers travelled to Gilmer County and beat the Titans 44-38
12/8- The Tigers fell to the #2 Ravenswood Red Devils at home 64-40
Girls Basketball:
11/30- The Tigers fell to the visiting Roane County Raiders 73-33
12/3- The Tigers fell in overtime at South Harrison by a score of 56-54
12/9- The Lady Tigers beat Magnolia at Home by a score of 46-36
12/12- The Lady Tigers lost to host Ravenswood 71-22

Over the next two days, members of our FFA chapter will be competing in Winter Career Development Events @ WVU! Along with competitions, they’ll be attending workshops and taking campus tours.

Tonight in The Den the Tigers will host the 2nd ranked Ravenswood Red Devils for the home opener. JV starts at 6:00 PM with Varsity to follow at 7:30 PM. 🐅 🏀
On December 6th, our Senior Class President, Trinity Sears (pictured on the left) and Student Body President, Kayleigh Murray (pictured on the right), delivered a $250 donation from MetaNu. LLC to The Hope Shop. MetaNu is one of our educational partners through Project Aware that offers programs promoting a positive proactive approach to mental wellness and wellbeing. Thank you for giving back to our community and partnering with WCHS Student Council! Later this month, Student Council will be donating canned goods to the Hope Shop as part of the December community service activity.
WCHS is excited to announce two community service projects for the month of December. Wirt County's PATCH program is hiring students! Work after school from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. starting at $9.00 per hour. Students should apply by scanning the QR code or picking up an application in the office.
Students at WCHS have spent the last week creating door decorations in their DG classes. The theme was "What are you thankful for?" Mrs. Dye's DG took 1st place, Mrs. Starcher's DG took 2nd place, and Ms. Adam's DG took 3rd place.
Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all of those who have served. Mrs. Lemley's classes designed posters this week to hang around the school in honor of our veterans.

Cheer Regional Information
Saturday, November 4, 2022 at Parkersburg High School
The performance order this year is AAA, AA, A. All fans must enter and exit through door #1 (FH6). The cost is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. AAA Competition will begin at 10a.m. The doors will open at 9a.m. for the spectators. A Competition will begin at 2p.m. Projected time of doors opening will be 1p.m. AA Competition will begin at 6p.m. Projected time of doors opening will be 5p.m. The field house will be emptied between AAA, AA, and A. You must purchase a ticket to re-enter. Fans are to sit on the visitor’s side of the gym and are not permitted to save seats. Tickets will be sold at the door or you have the option to pre purchase tickets online. Online tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday November 2nd at 9am. The website is

The Pumpkin Drop is scheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 31st from 2:30 - 3:19 p.m. in the front courtyard of the high school. All parents and guardians are invited to attend! When you arrive at the school, please come into the main entry to sign in.
