Students at Wirt County High School will be bringing home their 1st nine weeks' report cards today, October 24th. They will also be bringing home a yellow parent access sheet for LiveSchool. We are using LiveSchool to track, recognize, and reward positive behaviors. By signing up, you will be able to see the positive behaviors your student is being recognized for at school. We do NOT need these yellow sheets signed and returned.

Today is West Virginia Service Personnel Day, a statewide celebration to honor and thank the countless people who provide invaluable support services for the state’s 55 county school systems. Be sure to thank your bus drivers, secretaries, technicians, cooks, custodians, aides, maintenance, and all school service employees for all they do! Our school system would not function without them!

In spring 2022, current 9th grade students took the West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA) and current 12th students grade took the SAT School Day. Both assessments measure academic progress for students and schools in West Virginia. A link to your student's individual score report was sent to your student's Gmail account today, September 19th. Please work with your student to access the link in the email. Once you click on the link, you will be taken to a site where you will need to enter your student’s date of birth to access the video report. An example of the video report along with more information is available online at https://wirtcountywv.sites.thrillshare.com/o/wchs/article/843741

The Homecoming Parade is tomorrow at 2:15 p.m. Parade lineup will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the high school. Floats and trailers will be lined up in the senior parking lot (beside the gym). Decorated vehicles and walking groups will line up in the parking spots directly in front of the school. If you are participating in the parade, look for a student parade assistant in a bright yellow or orange vest who will be assisting with the lineup. Spots will be numbered, so make sure to check in with a parade assistant before parking! Parking in the front of the school and the gravel lot beside the senior parking lot will be closed to allow spots for parade entries. Students and staff, please park in another location.
