Nice to meet you!
Hello Wirt County Middle School! I’m thrilled to introduce myself officially and express how delighted I am to be a part of Wirt County Middle School Team. Joining Wirt County Schools is truly an exciting opportunity, and I look forward to collaborating with everyone—students, teachers, parents, and support staff. Together, we’ll strive to create an environment where every student can thrive and succeed. Here’s to a wonderful journey ahead, filled with growth, learning, and shared achievements! I hope to be a support for you all and my door is always open 😊.
What is Project AWARE?
Project AWARE is a federal grant that helps bring mental health services to schools to ensure that each student can reach success. This is done through individual services, group activities, and classroom support. The goal is to be a collaborative team to meet the child’s and family’s needs.
Coplin Health Systems’ Behavioral Health team is partnered with Project AWARE to deliver these services in the school to help provide quality services and eliminate some of the barriers of mental and behavioral health access, while also being available to help the staff and school in their goal of creating positive and supportive environments for all.
Get to know me!
I’m excited to share a bit about myself with you! I’m passionate about photography, and always on the lookout for that perfect shot, especially with Nature and Dirt Track Photography. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me at the Dirt Track, by the River/Lake, or in my backyard. I also have a deep love for all things vintage and historical, finding joy in exploring the past and uncovering its many stories.
My Background:
I’m originally from Parkersburg, WV, and I’m excited to bring my diverse background and expertise to this School System. I hold two Master’s degrees—one in Criminal Justice and one in Social Work—which have provided me with a solid foundation in understanding and addressing complex issues. I’m currently in the early stages of pursuing my licensure in Social Work with the goal of becoming a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the future. Additionally, I have specialized certifications in Anxiety, Autism-informed practices, Substance Use, Trauma/PTSD, and working with Veterans. These areas of focus reflect my commitment to supporting individuals through a variety of challenges and helping others achieve their fullest potential.
